Fun With Ethics: Practice Now for Ethical Dilemmas

This session will enable participants to practice their ethical decision-making skills by playing the Fun With Ethics game created by The American Institute For Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters. The game includes many insurance-related cases involving ethical dilemmas that participants will discuss in small groups consisting of a decision maker and several different constituents (stakeholders) in the decision. The constituents will evaluate the decision maker's solution from their unique perspectives. Every participant will have the opportunity to be a decision maker and receive feedback from the constituents. The game simulates ethical decision-making in the real world and allows insurance professionals to develop their ethical decision-making skills in preparation for resolving real ethical dilemmas they will encounter in their professional lives. Fun With Ethics therefore provides practice to make participants more effective in:
* Identifying ethical dilemmas that could occur in the insurance industry
* Identifying the various stakeholders in decisions about ethical dilemmas in the insurance industry
* Making ethical decisions with awareness of how such decisions affect all the stakeholders in the decision
